In this piece, created for a performance film, agency, autonomy and imposition are explored through materiality and action. The knitted mask, representative of women’s work is the site of the contest around forced veiling as it slowly unravels in the film. Audience members can choose to further unravel or remake the piece. Exhibited at the PLAY room, Zaandam (2019)
